Philosophy

Alpha Community Services affirms the rights of adults with developmental disabilities to live in community based housing, participate in community based day support activities and to fully participate in those community services available to all citizens of the Hampton Roads area.

Program Description

Each individual being serviced by ACS Residential Services will be encouraged to be as independent as possible. Each individual will be given the opportunities and support system to learn the skills necessary for transitions into the community and/or maintaining already acquired skills for successful community living.

Program Goal

Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities to function independently in their home environment and community through the development of social cognitive and emotional skills.
